Abstract
The importance of the research topic: It is identifying the most important educational competencies and their role in the conduct of the educational process within the classroom, because classroom management’s success depends on the educational competencies of the teacher. If he succeeds in managing it, he succeeds in achieving his goals, and all of that depends on his personality and style and on the application of systems, laws and regulations. And procedures for managing his class. Therefore, this research highlights the importance of this issue in the minds of those concerned with education in Libya in terms of theory and practice. Research problem: The research problem centers on knowing the most important educational competencies of basic education teachers and their relationship to classroom management. Research objectives: This research aims to identify the level of personal educational competencies of basic education teachers, as well as the level of good planning for lessons within the classroom, and the nature of the relationship between educational competencies and classroom management. Research limits: This research included (71) male and female teachers at the basic education school in the city of Zawiya. The research was applied in the academic year 2024/2025 AD. Research methodology: This research adopted the descriptive approach, and the main tool in collecting its data was (the questionnaire). Research literature: The literature included main topics related to the educational competencies of basic education teachers and their relationship to classroom management. Research results: Many appropriate statistical methods were used based on the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, and the analysis of the research data included quantitative statistical analysis and interpretive qualitative analysis of the dimensions of the results obtained. The most important results indicate: - The teacher’s choice of educational methods related to the subject of the lesson and linking them to the surrounding reality raises the level of personal competencies to a high degree among basic education teachers.- When the teacher develops a plan to address some of the students’ shortcomings within the classroom, it increases the level of competencies for good planning of educational lessons. - Using appropriate educational means to attract students’ attention raises the level of classroom management among basic education teachers. The results of the research confirmed that there is a direct correlation with statistical significance at (0.01) between the level of educational competencies and classroom management among basic education teachers.
