Abstract
The study aimed to determine the educational values included in the Arabic language books for the ninth grade of basic education in Libya, and to explain their distribution among the books subject of the study in terms of the areas of educational values adopted in the study, where the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach. The study tool was a content analysis card consisting of Six educational fields, and each field has six values, so that the performance in its final form consisted of 36 educational values. The results of the study showed the presence of (475 Recurrence of educational values in Arabic language books was distributed as follows: the reading book (47.34%), the literary texts book 33.26%, and the grammar book (26.10%). The areas of educational values also varied in the percentages of inclusion in the books in the study sample, where the moral area values obtained 20.63%, while the areas of values differed. In light of the results, the researcher presented recommendations, the most important of which is reviewing the system of educational values included in the educational curricula and working to evaluate them in light of global changes.
