Abstract

This research discusses the role of women in Libyan drama, highlighting their influence and contribution to shaping the cultural and artistic scene. It begins by defining drama and its importance, reviewing its history in Libya, as well as the role of women in the arts and the challenges they face. It also focuses on women in Libyan drama, analyzing female characters in dramatic texts and addressing challenges such as discrimination and lack of opportunities, in addition to the impact of women's writings. The research also examines the effects of drama on society and its influence in shaping public opinion, while exploring future directions for empowering women in this field. It offers recommendations aimed at enhancing the role of women by increasing governmental support and providing greater opportunities in drama. The research emphasizes the importance of supporting women in drama as an essential part of culture and the arts in Libya, calling for the enhancement of dialogue and research in this area.
