Abstract

This paper explores the renewed role of the social worker in youth care within the context of the digital transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI), highlighting AI as a key factor in achieving professional advancement in the field of social work. It aims to demonstrate how AI can enhance professional social work practices by improving data analysis, predicting social risks, and designing more effective intervention programs. The study emphasizes that professional renaissance is a continuous process involving training, ethical commitment, and technological innovation. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the paper analyzes the current state of professional practice, identifies the challenges hindering its development, and proposes practical strategies for advancing the social worker’s role in youth institutions. The findings reveal that integrating AI into social work strengthens professional performance quality, supports evidence-based decision-making, and establishes a sustainable balance between the human and technological dimensions in youth care.
