Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of the incentive system on reducing job slacking among workers at the Bir al-Ghanam fine gypsum factory, by examining the effect of financial and non-financial incentives on mitigating this phenomenon. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and employed a comprehensive survey of the study population, comprising 50 workers at the factory. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS software, employing descriptive and inferential statistical methods, particularly simple linear regression to test the study’s hypotheses. The results of the study revealed a statistically significant effect of the incentive system in reducing job slacking, it also revealed that both financial and non-financial incentives have an effect on job slacking, with non-financial incentives having a greater impact than financial incentives. The study’s findings were consistent with numerous previous studies that have emphasized the importance of incentive schemes in improving job performance, increasing employee commitment and reducing negative organizational behaviors.
