Abstract

Abstract: The current study aimed to identify the prevalence of behavioral problems (school bullying) and its relationship to the level of anxiety and depression among second-stage basic education students at Darb Al-Haq School in Sorman. The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology. The sample consisted of (213) male and female students, selected using a random sampling technique. To achieve the study objectives, a school bullying scale and an anxiety and depression scale were developed. The study revealed the following results: The prevalence of school bullying among the students was high, with verbal bullying ranking first. The level of anxiety and depression among the surveyed students was high. There were statistically significant differences in the level of anxiety and depression attributed to the gender variable, in favor of (males). There were statistically significant differences in the level of anxiety attributed to the mother's education variable, in favor of (mothers with higher education) as a protective factor. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between exposure to school bullying and the increase in the level of anxiety and depression among students.
