Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using the cooperative learning method on learning some basic basketball skills for middle school students "under study", specifically on the level of skill performance in basketball: two-handed chest pass and ball dribbling. It also seeks to determine the most effective method for offensive basketball skills "under study". The researchers used the experimental method due to its suitability to the subject and nature of the research. The method relied on pre- and post-measurements for the research groups: a control group and an experimental group. The main research sample included all seventh-grade middle school students, after excluding older students, those with injuries preventing participation, students enrolled in sports teams, and those with frequent absences. The final main research sample consisted of 40 students: 20 students for the pilot study and 20 students for the main study. The main study sample was divided into two groups. The most important findings emphasized the necessity of using the cooperative learning method, as it has a positive impact on teaching basketball skills to middle school students.
