Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the impact of geographical factors of daily commute to work on job satisfaction and performance of employees in the Postgraduate Studies and Training Administration at the University of Zawiya. To achieve the study's objectives, the descriptive analytical approach was adopted as the most suitable for the nature of the topic. Data was collected using a questionnaire designed for this purpose, and the study sample consisted of 34 employees. The data was processed and analyzed statistically. The results showed that the impact of geographical factors on employee satisfaction was moderate, with statistically significant differences at (0.05) attributed to variables of gender, transportation means, and job performance. The differences were in favor of males, employees who use private cars, and employees whose performance was affected by the daily commute. The study recommended improving transportation conditions and roads leading to the university in coordination with relevant authorities to reduce the burden of daily commuting on employees. It also suggested providing traffic facilities and public transportation for employees to reduce daily commuting challenges.
