Abstract
This research examines the role of Libyan poetry in the peacebuilding process and the promotion of national reconciliation in Libya during the period following the Libyan revolution in 2011, with a focus on the conflicts and divisions that the country witnessed during this time. The aim of the research is to explore the values and messages conveyed by Libyan poetry in confronting violence, injustice, and extremism, and its impact on uniting the Libyan people and enhancing their national identity. The research revolves around analyzing the poems of the prominent Libyan poet "Abdul Mawla Al-Baghdadi," who is considered a prominent voice in the Libyan poetic scene addressing themes of national reconciliation in his poetry. The study provides an analysis of several poems by Al-Baghdadi using a descriptive analytical approach, with the use of sources and references related to Libyan poetry and national reconciliation. The research concludes that Libyan poetry plays a significant role in shaping national and cultural awareness in Libya, contributing to the dissemination of values such as peace, tolerance, dialogue, and justice. Poetry calls for an end to conflicts, disputes, and reprisals, and advocates for the establishment of a democratic civil state that respects human rights and the law. The research offers some recommendations to enhance the role of Libyan poetry in Libyan society and institutions, as well as to promote scientific research in this field.
