Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the level of psychological stress and psychological hardness among a sample of faculty members at the University of Tobruk, including some variables related to the university professor represented by gender and academic specialization, as they numbered (80) of both sexes during the academic year 2022-2023 AD. Suleiman (2015) psychological stress scale and Mukhaimer’s psychological hardness scale (2002). After application and data collection, statistical analysis was carried out using the statistical analysis program (Spss) Where the results showed a low level of psychological stress, and a high level of psychological hardness among the research sample, in addition to the presence of statistically non-significant differences between males and females in the level of psychological hardness in favor of females, and the absence of statistically significant differences in the level of the total degree of psychological stress among the research sample According to the variable of academic specialization. And there are no statistically significant differences in the level of the total degree of psychological hardness of the research sample according to the variable of academic specialization.
