Abstract

This research aims to shed light on the philosophy of education that John Locke developed and modified by introducing into it a new element about the nature of learning. This element is that man creates a blank slate. Man at the time of his birth is a blank slate in which there is no knowledge, facts, or information. Emphasize practical practice in education instead of punishment and beating. The philosophy of education according to John Locke is a simple process free of complications, and works to resolve societal differences. When generations are brought up on the correct philosophy and educational controls and their value is highlighted and imposed, society, according to John Locke’s opinion, becomes an empty society. Of conflicts and disagreements. This research also aims to clarify the most important goals that can be achieved in our practical lives. The researcher relied on the analytical approach in explaining the importance of John Locke’s role in education. The researcher concluded that John Locke’s philosophical views played a major role in formulating his educational philosophy.
