Social Security Pensions and the Social, Economic, and Health Needs of Retirees – A Field Study in the Municipality of Yafran

Abstract
This research aims to reveal the extent to which social security pensions meet the social, economic, and health needs of retirees. This descriptive-analytical research employs a social survey methodology using a sampling approach. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool, and a non-probability convenience sampling method was used to select participants from the research population, which consisted of (40) retirees, including (27) male and (13) female retirees. The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: 1- The results indicate that there was a moderate trend towards addressing social, economic, and health needs. 2- The results showed that most members of the sample believe that pension laws are not suitable for the needs of retirees. 3- The results show that the highest priority for retirees is healthcare and securing living requirements, while social needs come in a lower rank. 4- The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level between the needs of retirees and the educational level of the respondents. 5 The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level between the needs of retirees and the urban background of the respondents.
