Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the phenomenon of drug use and its relationship to domestic violence in Libyan society. This was achieved by describing and analyzing previous studies on this topic or phenomenon. It drew conclusions and generalizable findings, employing analytical and qualitative components for content analysis and providing an interpretive framework for the effects of the analytical results obtained from approximately 14 previous Arab and foreign studies. Based on the theory of social disintegration, this study reached the following conclusions, which are -derived from previous studies that addressed the topic of drug use and its relation to domestic violence. The study found a relationship between the decline in the educational level of parents, as well as informational and economic factors, low family income, weak religious faith, and drug use.
