Abstract

The study addressed the geomorphology of wadi basins in Jabal Al-Hassawna, which had not been the subject of a detailed geomorphological study before. It aimed to study the morphometric characteristics of geomorphological features. It reached several results, the most important of which is that the total area of the main basins in the region is about (6067.9) m². It also became clear that the circularity ratio (0.9-1) or more applies to both main and sub-basins, and this value indicates that the circularity ratio corresponds to a circular shape. The ruggedness index for the main basins reached (0.051), and for the sub-basins it was about (0.385). The ruggedness value reached (0.0057) and (1.86) for the main and sub-basins respectively. These values indicate low ruggedness in the study area and that the basins have not yet completed their erosion processes. The total stream order sum reached (17,813,733.2) watercourses, and their lengths reached (1,093.7).
