Pragmatics and Pragmatic Signals: Concept and Dimensions.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pragmatics is one of the most recent contemporary linguistic studies, establishing itself as a science based on linguistic and critical discourse. This is due to its comprehensive approach to all discourse issues at various levels. The multiplicity of its sources and origins, from which it derives its foundations, has led to its diversification and the expansion of its fields, making it difficult to draw clear boundaries for it on the map of modern linguistic research.
Just as denotations are an important element of pragmatic theory, they are fundamental in terms of their grammatical and semantic function. The two parties to the discourse rely on them, and through them we understand the temporal and spatial framework of the discourse. Denotations are linguistic signs whose purpose is only realized within the pragmatic context because they are ambiguous and meaningless, as they are linked to non-fixed references. This research is based on the problem of how denotations are manifested and discovered.
