Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reality of educational interaction between faculty members and students at the Faculty of Education in Al-Ajilat, measure its impact on academic achievement, determine the factors influencing it, identify its main obstacles, and propose suggestions for improvement. The researcher employed the descriptive approach to analyze the nature of classroom interaction. The study population consisted of faculty members at the college, and a random sample of 113 lecturers was selected, distributed according to gender, specialization, experience, and academic rank. Data were collected using a questionnaire covering various aspects of classroom interaction and were analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The validity of the instrument was verified through expert review, and its reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha. The study concluded that the level of educational interaction was moderate with a tendency toward being high, and that there is a positive relationship between interaction and academic achievement. It also found that discussion and cooperative learning were the most commonly used strategies, while the use of modern technologies was limited. The results showed that faculty competence, student motivation, and the classroom environment are among the most influential factors, whereas the main obstacles include large class sizes, limited use of educational technologies, and reliance on traditional teaching methods. The study recommended enhancing interactive teaching strategies, integrating modern technologies, reducing class sizes, training faculty members, and improving the classroom environment. It also suggested conducting future studies on e-learning, students’ personality patterns, comparative studies among colleges, training programs based on active learning strategies, and the impact of artificial intelligence on enhancing educational interaction.
