The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Supporting Psychological Data Analysis: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

This research addressed the role of artificial intelligence in supporting psychological data analysis by examining its applications in psychological diagnosis and therapy, as well as emotion and behavior analysis. It also explored the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence and the challenges associated with its use in the psychological field. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach through reviewing relevant literature and previous studies. The results showed that artificial intelligence contributes to developing psychological practice by supporting early diagnosis, analyzing data, texts, and digital behaviors, and improving the quality of therapeutic interventions. It also plays a role in developing natural language processing techniques that help analyze psychological indicators. The results also indicated that the use of artificial intelligence faces challenges related to ethical issues, privacy protection, algorithmic opacity, and technological dependency. The study recommended strengthening the integration between artificial intelligence and human expertise, developing legal and ethical frameworks, and training specialists to use intelligent technologies in the psychological field.
