Patterns of Overlooking Certain Social Values — Women as a Model for this Overlooking —
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social values are a crucial foundation for shaping behavior and interactions within societies. However, these values can be transgressed or challenged by certain individuals or groups, including women. This transgression can occur as a result of various influences, such as cultural changes, social developments, and economic transformations. Changes in social value patterns have resulted from several internal and external factors. Internal factors include family pressures, family disintegration and breakdown, and the influence of the self. External factors include various forms of media and peer groups. In recent times, comprehensive changes have occurred in all aspects of social, economic, and political life in rural communities. These changes have led villagers to move beyond some traditional social values and adopt new ones that align with the nature of the societal transformations.
