Abstract

This research deals with the study of the waw, its types and uses in the Arabic language, citing verses from the holy Quran for that, in view of the overlapping and similarity of the types of waw and the varying opinions of grammarians about them this research came to explain that and detail it and singly out the letter waw in a comprehensive independent detailed study that collects what grammarians mentioned about its types and uses citing verses from the holy Quran this research came in an introduction two sections and a conclusion of the first topic the working waw they are the nominative accusative and garra the second topic was for the non functional waw which is the emotional waw the additional waw the eight waw the masculine pronoun waw the masculine marking waw the accusative waw the denial waw the remembrance waw the interrogative waw the nominative waw and the intergective waw.
