Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the social stigma and its relationship to criminal recidivism from the point of view of the employees working in the Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tajoura, by identifying the level of social stigma among the returnees of crime, and also identifying the behavioral treatment by members of society and by family members and the reaction of the returnee to crime towards The behavior directed to him, then researching the nature of the relationship between social stigma and criminal recidivism among the returnees of crime, and the research sample consisted of (200) male and female employees, and followed the descriptive analytical approach, and used the questionnaire in collecting data from the research sample. The search resulted in the following results; - The level of social stigma among the returnees of crime from the point of view of the employees working in the Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tajoura came to a high degree. The behavioral treatment by members of society and family members and the reaction of the offender to the behavior directed at him came in high degrees. -There is a statistically significant correlation between social stigma and criminal recidivism among crime returns from the point of view of employees at the Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tajoura.
