Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of administrative transparency at Al-Asmariya Islamic University from the perspective of its general administration employees. The study relied on the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The study population comprised all (138) employees of the general administration of Al-Asmariya Islamic University. The study sample size was (100) individuals, and (82) valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is that Al-Asmariya Islamic University practices administrative transparency to a moderate degree across all six dimensions. This reflects an institutional awareness of the importance of transparency, but it requires support and activation through clear policies and more comprehensive practices in the dimensions of accountability, participation, and performance evaluation. The study's most prominent recommendations were that the state devote greater attention to enacting laws to provide an appropriate environment for implementing the principles of administrative transparency and granting oversight bodies (the Audit Bureau, the Administrative Control Authority, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission) greater powers to combat administrative corruption and implement deterrent penalties.
