Abstract
This study examined a fundamental book of Prophetic Sunnah and heart-softening traditions (Raqā’iq), "Al-Ikhlās wa al-Niyyah" (Sincerity and Intention) by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā, with the aim of identifying its additions (zawā’id)—the hadiths unique to it when compared to the Six Canonical Books of Hadith. The research employed a comprehensive methodology that involved collecting these additions, studying their chains of transmission (isnāds) in detail, tracking the status of the narrators, and investigating the judgments of early critics on them. A conclusive summary regarding the status of these hadiths was then provided. The study concluded by identifying the additions of "Al-Ikhlās wa al-Niyyah" over the Six Books. The study results revealed varying degrees of authenticity for these narrations.
