Abstract

The importance of Ijtihad is a means of realizing the objectives of Islamic law, there for, the prophet taught his companions the methodology of ijtihad. Thy practiced it individually and collectively , deriving legal rulings and religious fatwas for encountered. The scolars of the Ummah then transmitted this methodology from generation in order to keep pace with the times and the new developments they entail, So that they over come this problem and prove that Islam is valid for every time and place, resulting in concrete outcomes, particularly the issuance of numerous fatwas by juristic councils.
