Ibn Abi Zayd Al-Qayrawani’s Approach to Dealing with Verses of Rulings – Practical Models from the Book 'Al-Dhab' An Madhhab Imam Malik'

Abstract

This study explores the methodology of Ibn Abī Zayd in his treatment of the legal verses (Āyāt al-Aḥkām) in al-Dhabb ‘an Madhhab al-Imām Mālik. It shows that his approach is grounded in the principles of uṣūl al-fiqh and Arabic linguistic rules. The research adopts an integrative method, combining Qur’anic exegesis with juristic analysis through the derivation of legal rulings from the relevant verses.
