رب بين التقليل والتكثير في العربية

Abstract

This study focused on the grammatical tool (rab) in the Arabic language, whose semantic principle is (reduce and multiply.) The difference occurs between grammarians in its significance on reducing and multiplying; That is, they agree and do not accept the argument that it denotes one or both of these two meanings, but the difference is in determining which of the two meanings is more common with it. The desired goal of this study is to try to identify the significance of that tool accurately, and to know its grammatical judgment, which has the character of bifurcation.
