Abstract

The existence of the Holy Qur'an stands out as a rare and precious type of manuscript, both physical and scholarly, bearing within its pages the hallmarks of the Islamic school of Qur'anic calligraphy and illustration. In this discussion, we will attempt to highlight the merits and characteristics of the "Ibn Ghattus al-Balansi al-Andalusi Qur'an," while explaining its most important calligraphic features.
