About Al-Asala Journal

Al-Asala Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Libyan Society for Educational and Human Sciences, affiliated with the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, part of the Ministry of Higher Education in Libya. It publishes various educational and humanities research. It is published semi-annually and is widely accepted by researchers from both inside and outside Libya, allowing it to contain a number of volumes per issue. Its published research is characterized by high quality and scientific originality.

Al-Asala Magazine was founded in 2021, and its first issue was published in January 2022.

It is currently preparing to publish its eleventh issue in June 2025.

The magazine was issued pursuant to Resolution No. (19) of 2021 issued by the General Administration of Publications and Artistic Works at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, authorizing the publication of Al-Asala Magazine, and Resolution No. (590) of 2023 issued by the Director General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, amending a ruling to change the name of the association to (the Libyan Association for Educational and Human Sciences).

The magazine has legal deposit number 1086/2021, National Library, Benghazi.

The journal accepts submissions in Arabic and foreign languages ​​and provides an English summary for each research published in Arabic.

The journal has local and international referees to review the quality of the research and decide whether to publish it.

The journal is managed by the editorial board.

The Objective of Al-Asalah Journal:

Al-Asalah Journal aims to publish academic research in the fields of humanities and education. It aims to be a means of presenting and disseminating scholarly contributions characterized by originality and creativity, advancing scientific research to serve the issues of academies and contribute to addressing their problems.

Publication Areas or Scope:

Al-Asala Journal publishes original scholarly research in the fields of education and human sciences. The journal welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, including:

• Educational sciences and pedagogy

• Educational and social psychology

• Sociology and social work

• Linguistics and literary studies

• Islamic and religious studies

• Legal studies

• Political science and international relations

• Economics and administrative studies related to the humanities

The journal adopts a multidisciplinary approach within  human sciences and accepts research employing qualitative, quantitativem and mixed-method methodologies, provided that submissions are grounded in established scholarly literature and present original academic contributions to the fields of educational and human sciences.
