Abstract
International humanitarian law is a set of rules that aim to limit the effects of international and non-international armed conflicts, by protecting people affected by the damage and pain that result from that conflict. It also aims to protect property that is not directly related to military operations. here have been several international mechanisms that monitor respect for the rules of international humanitarian law, such as the United Nations and its various bodies, and there are many non-governmental organizations, in addition to the temporary criminal courts and the International Criminal Court. The research problem is to highlight the international mechanisms for implementing international humanitarian law. The researcher answered this problem by studying the role of international organizations in applying international humanitarian law in the first section, and the role of international criminal justice in applying international humanitarian law in the second section.
