Abstract

The aim of this research was to incorporate the values of volunteer work within the curricula and courses of university education and to explore their role in promoting citizenship values from the perspective of faculty members at the College of Education, Zawia. The research sample consisted of 70 faculty members from the College of Education, Zawia. A descriptive analytical approach was followed, and a questionnaire was used to collect data from the research sample. The research yielded the following results: The level of incorporating the values of volunteer work within the curricula and courses of university education and their role in promoting citizenship values from the perspective of faculty members at the College of Education, Zawia, was found to be high. There were statistically significant differences in the level of incorporating the values of volunteer work within the curricula and courses of university education and their role in promoting citizenship values from the perspective of faculty members at the College of Education, Zawia, attributed to the variables of gender, specialization, and years of experience.
