The Impact of Pedagogical, Technological, Human, and Evaluative Competencies of Faculty Member on the Academic Achievement of Economic Students: A Field Study At The Faculty of Economics/Ajilate)

Abstract

Given the significant role that university faculty member play in enhancing the educational process and improving students’ academic performance, this study aimed to examine the impact of faculty members competency on the academic achievement of students in the Economics Department at the Faculty of Economics, Ajilate. The study focused on several dimensions of competency, including professional, technological, human, and evaluative competencies, and their relationship to students’ academic achievement. The study adopted a descriptive analytical approach and was applied to a sample of (40) male and female students from the Department of Economics. To analyze the data, the statistical analysis program (SPSS) was used. After processing and analyzing the data and discussing the hypotheses, we reached the following results: 1. Faculty members practice professional competencies at a moderate level. 2. Faculty members practice technological competencies at a low level. 3. Faculty members practice human competencies at a moderate level 4. Faculty members practice evaluative competencies at a moderate level.
